Restless Feeling was written as a farewell to the city of Austin (not including my musical tribe there) when I moved to San Antonio, in 1997. More than any other song in this collection, it sums up the story of Levon Bus Travels. This feeling took on a deeper meaning when I moved to New Braunels, in 2018, after living in Michigan for twenty years.

I was born, in Detroit City
Among the shelter, of loving arms
Mother, father, sisters and others
Did their best, to fend off harm

Had me a gal, some close companions
Struggled through, the awkward fears
Fast cars and bars, it’s such a pity
Before too long, we’d come to years

You can't hide, a restless feeling
You can't hurt, a broken heart
You rock the boat, your senses reeling
And settle down, to play your part

So I moved on, up to Wisconsin
The snow and cold, of lonesome roads
Lived by the lake, and watched the sunrise
But something told me, it wasn't home

Then a new woman, took me to Dallas
Where I found out, how little I know
Its past and gone, as I grew callous
Lord only knows, where that birds flown

You can't chain, a restless feeling
You can't cure a broken heart
You rock the boat, your senses reeling
And settle down, to play your part

I have a few friends, in Austin, Texas
We learned the meaning, of growing old
Filled our glasses, emptied our stories
The Dog n' Duck, was never closed

But now I've got, a restless feeling
Maybe just one last, time to roam
I'll pack my bags, for San Antone'
